Cast and Crew
Glen Dawson
Det. Heck Bills
It's Fringe, 2018, and Glen L. Dawson is thrilled to be returning to New Endeavor's production of The Buttslasher! There's a "number two" joke in there somewhere, but you can write it yourself! A veteran of the Fringe, this is Glen's third year, and he couldn't be more excited! From mainstage shows playing Prof. Harold Hill in Morris Park Players' The Music Man, to having his hand stuck in a toilet in The Lakeshore Players' Coriolis Effect, Heck Bills remains one of Glen's most cherished characters. Glen returned to the stage in 2016, having taken a 13-year hiatus, and re-launched his career with his first role in the Fringe Festival. Since then, it's been a cavalcade of performances, each with talented, industrious individuals, who have reinvigorated his passion for the theater. This group at New Endeavors is no exception, and he hopes you all thoroughly enjoy the show! And watch your butts. . .cuz we will be!

More Information

The 2017 breakout hit returns this summer!

After a successful run in the 2017 Fringe Festival at the Ritz Studio Theater, New Endeavors is moving The Buttslasher to the Ritz Theater Mainstage to get more butts in seats.

The Buttslasher is a neo-noir crime melodrama based on a true story. It follows Detective Heck Bills, a battle-weary hero cop in the crime hub of Stillwater, Minnesota. His town is soon terrorized by a series of mysterious butt slashings that leaves the Stillwater Police Department baffled. Detective Bills must solve this crime with a hotshot new partner, Eric Balls, all the while trying to heal his damaged relationship with his daughter, Genevieve, and his on-again-off-again romantic interest, Joanna Finlayson. As he tries to solve this mystery, he can only be sure of one thing; this case is a real pain in the rear.

The Buttslasher was nominated for Best Original/New Work for the 2017 BroadwayWorld Minneapolis awards, and it played to critical acclaim and sold-out houses. This summer, at the Ritz Theater Mainstage, danger rears its ugly head once again.
