"iron fist is the worst one"
This was done just right. He wasn't over the top. We all know (or have dated) a guy just like him. In fact...four men around me mansplained that Iron Fist is the worst Marvel series to their dates. It was rewarding and gory and I swipe right on this show.

Two Halves Didn't Make a Whale
This felt like two disconnected shows. One, a beautiful literary adaption and the other a crass, loud explanation of whaling. It was jarring to go back and forth between the two. Additionally, the amount of adult language was off-putting, especially in a call-and-response style song. It didn't feel earned and became the focus of what I was noticing. I wish it would have been more of the shadow play and literary adaptation, because that was simply enchanting and beautifully crafted.

Nothing else like it
I have never seen a show committed with such talent and vision from start to finish. It was a show with purpose and drive and laughter. There is nothing like it.
Company: Michael Rogers
Show: Now We See It

Beautiful
Visually beautiful piece that caused me to crya while lot more than I expected. I agree with other reviewers though that I don't really get the light saber battles.

Good dancing
I enjoyed each piece separately and maybe this was just me but I wished for some shred of through line or some tech theming to make it feel more cohesive. Also the fact that the stage wasn't cleared twice was distracting from the work as a whole.

On a roll
Watching the Beards is always a slam dunk and this was no exception. They passed that ball and worked together as a team to put up a ton of points in my book.
Company: The Adventures of Les Kurkendaal
Show: Walking While Black in Moscow
Venue: Ritz Theater Studio
Endearing
This show was lovely and endearing and I could have watched Les tell stories all night.

Earnest
It was well acted but fell relatively flat. The minimal set and simple costume changes did a great job of building the world.
Company: Sidecar Theatre
Show: Summers in Prague

My heart hurts in the best way
Every element of this show came together to create an incredibly cohesive show. It was a beautiful piece of art.
Company: Flash Grenade Productions
Show: The Flashlight Zone: 20 Science Fiction Plays in One Hour

Solo pieces were great
The monologue pieces were lovely, especially the Superman piece. The large group pieces were distracting from those as was the yelling for titles between.
