Witty! Self-Aware! Remarkably Poignant!
Listen. To live is to be marked. To live is to change, to acquire the words of a story, and that is the only celebration we mortals really know. In perfect stillness, frankly, I've only found sorrow. God doesn’t need to punish us. He just grants us a long enough life to punish ourselves.

ehhhhhh
There were a few solid laughs in this show, but honestly I was pretty disappointed overall. It seemed like a lot of the jokes were attempting to be self aware, but ended up just being examples of the very thing they were trying to mock. Additionally, I wasn't happy with both the way the female characters were represented, and the fact that assault (both sexual and otherwise) was the punchline of what honestly felt like the majority of the jokes. The ending was kind of problematic as well, and it felt like a very strange and jarring choice. The show has some good bones, but is definitely in need of some further rewrites.
