I know who I want to take me home
Great musical numbers--a lot went into those and it really shows. As "Odyssey" as "O Brother, Where Art Thou" would have been with a 45 minute run time--fun if you like that sort of thing, and I do. Great messaging on honesty and friendship; clever messaging on allies preventing sexual assault. Well done.

What do you do if somebody gets the answers wrong?
I'm not kidding when I say that this show is the one I enjoy thinking about the most afterward. Minimalist. Funny, touching. Surprisingly physical, subtle, and original. I know "it's the perfect play for right now" is a joke, but maybe it's not, you know? You probably know. I found this more thoughtful start to finish than I had expected. Really enjoyable.

It was meth
Surprisingly touching. Unsurprisingly funny. As in, it should not surprise you that it is funny. You should go see it. Probably. Most likely.
Company: Fearless Comedy Productions
Show: Deep in The 100 Acre Woods: A "Pooh"-dunnit?
Venue: Minnsky Theatre
Their Pooh doesn't stink
The show is worth seeing for their thoughtfully-constructed and -performed characterizations. Probably not what you imagined Tigger or Eeyore or Rabbit or Piglet looking like as a person, but then they're doing their thing and you can totally see it. I didn't love the tonal shift at the end; maybe I just don't know enough about film noir to accept it. The script is pretty sly, when it's not being dark.
Company: Grand Island Theatre
Show: Hamlet, but Hamlet's a Chicken
Venue: Minnsky Theatre
Who are you calling chicken
Spoiler that doesn't spoil much: it's "Shakespeare, but [thing different]" all the way down. I think you'll get more out of it if you refresh your memory on what happens in Hamlet, but I don't know how you could fail to enjoy it regardless. The Shakespeare is solid, the rest is silence. Just kidding, that's a Hamlet joke, the rest is a firehose of energy and creativity.
