Compelled to Lean Forward
Wow! Gerard’s eccentric and crazed formatting and presenting keeps you enticed and entertained. I found myself leaning more and more on the edge of my seat in awe at his performance. The most interesting (Good) storytelling experience I’ve ever seen. Very unique and hilarious comedy. As the show went on I found myself becoming more and more engaged and interested. I also am now a huge fan of Gerard! What an amazing show! MUST SEE!

Power of Storytelling
Javier, having seen his Fringe show last year: has really put in the work as usual. Returning to the 2018 Fringe Festival with this show, his words are powerful and his presentation is tighter and smoother than ever. He makes you laugh, he makes you think, he keeps you hooked with each charming move from one memory to the next. I definitely recommend this show as its message is poignant and powerful, but especially due to Javier’s telling of it. Thank you for being such a beautiful and personal perspective to Fringe!

Impressive
I will say this is worth seeing! The performances and the effort put in my the cast is so grand and awesome that I give the cast five stars. The lyrics and writing are pretty impressive if you were going for amount put into one hour. Hilarious and iconic moments in this show are real highlights. I must say though there are some uncomfortable moments where the well known plot gets serious and the musical intent makes people laugh when the original capturing of these moments in the film are very serious and serve a much different purpose. That being said: this is a different interpretation and I say that this cast is worth seeing because of the amount of work put into this show. Great Work!

A (Good) Challenge
A beautifully written sentiment about a long told story we all know, but this show brought it into terms we can all relate to. I was very impressed with the performance of the three actresses whom all bring a delightful charm to this production. This was not an easy piece by any means and I believe these actresses rose above the challenge. Though with all the beautiful connections to life’s moments... the play seemed to be a Challenge for me as a viewer to not lose focus. I had to really work and pay attention In order to invest. There were few gripping moments. This was a challenge that can be taken however you see it. I did enjoy the show it was just missing something. Thank you for bringing such a beautiful and charming story to Fringe!

Show: Gay Hot American Summer
Venue: Rarig Center Arena
“The Jokes alone...”
I went in bi-curious and came-out *nudge, nudge* GAY... I mean this in the literal definition of Gay: meaning fanciful or joyfully odd. Oh wait.... shit: I’m actually gay. Getting to the point, I think this production was a wonderful queer project that made me really enjoy my experience. Immersive, shameless and cute. There were some things lacking from the plot and a performance or two, but the jokes alone added with the great use of pop culture, satire and staging: made for a HILARIOUS and outlandish play that left me wanting more. Great work!

Charm, Timing & Talent
Incredible comedic performances from the lead female roles. All of which had well thought out and incredibly executed characters. Very funny writing and a group dynamic that really nails the punches. Thumbs up: well worth seeing!
