Show: Hamlet, but Hamlet's a Chicken
Venue: Minnsky Theatre
Fair is Fowl and Fowl is Fair!
This is the weirdest show I’ve ever seen, and I adored it. The chicken! THE CHICKEN! That bird’s got acting chops! Fight call, talking chairs, an egg shaker, I hurt from laughing. The only question is “when shall we three meet again?”
Company: Monster Science Productions
Show: What To Do In Case Of Dinosaur Attack
Venue: Mixed Blood Theatre
My face was ‘saur from laughing!
Reverend Matt Kessen is a one man comedy show diesel freight train: useful, unstoppable, and fueled by the plants and animals of prehistory. You will learn real things, and laugh real hard.
Company: The Winding Sheet Outfit
Show: Blood Nocturne
Venue: Southern Theater
Captivating and Richly Appointed
The players do a spectacular job of conveying the story, from both sides of the fourth wall. The music, performed live, was a perfect mixture of intense and playful. The show is exactly what I’ve come to expect of The Winding Sheet Outfit: sorrowful, beautiful, and technically outstanding.
Show: Next: The Musical (A Sidekick Story)
Venue: Augsburg Studio
My school experience distilled (but happy)
I saw the preview, and couldn't be happier. The story is sweet, the songs are catchy, and the show well-performed. The main characters are essentially different times in my young adulthood. The cast and crew have done a tremendous job bringing very real human experiences to life, in a heartfelt and humorously approachable way.
