Creative, Goofy, Witty, Hilarious!!!!
This is the second show I have seen from Sheep Theater, and will definitely not be my last! They come up with the most unique, weird concepts that you think would not make a good show, but they do! There is a perfect balance of smart and silly humor, and every actor shines. I love their innovative use of props, and the live music is amazing! You HAVE to go see this!
Company: Bollywood Dance Scene
Show: BollyProv: NOT a Dance Drama!
Venue: Ritz Theater Mainstage
Best of BollyProv Yet
I have seen BollyProv perform many times, and while it has always been SO funny, I can confidently say this was the best performance I have ever seen of them! The show began with a hilarious and sweet personal story (which will be different each show) that the BollyProv team used as inspiration. I was laughing so hard throughout the entire performance and loved all of the references back to the original story. You will not be disappointed!
Company: Weggel-Reed Productions
Show: Couple Fight: The Musical!
Venue: Rarig Center Thrust
Hilariously Relatable
When I arrived at the theater 20 minutes early, and there is already a huge line outside of the door, I knew this show would be good. However watching the show blew my already high expectations out of the water. I love the format of the show, as each story is the perfect length, and I love the diversity of the acts themeselves. I was never bored, and crying with laughter. What makes this show work is that each story is clearly a real fight brought to the stage, and each fight is one that I could relate to! You don’t want to miss this one!
Company: Life-sized Meme Productions
Show: The Moirologist
Venue: Ritz Theater Mainstage
Well Executed Interesting Concept
I was captivated by this dark comedy! I found the topic itself to be thought-provoking and I loved that it subtly makes the audience contemplate heir own morals, mortality, spirituality, and happiness. There were perfect punches of comedy dispersed throughout the show, and the use of lighting, blocking and props was perfect. I can promise you won’t see a show like this one, and you won’t regret coming!
