Trumpers and All, Welcome
Finally – a show that Trump supporters can attend – and possibly multiple times since every show is different in response to how the two storytellers (whose cadences are much more deliberate than other soloists at the Fringe) respond to informal audience surveys. The evening I attended we actually sat at various points on the political spectrum, and lo and behold (or alone and beholding) the conservative (perhaps plural at your performance) had a reasonable voice, too, proving that all our stories merit a degree of respect. Go, and then vote in the primary next Tuesday.

Oh (not) to be 8 again
Frenetic storytelling pace thru his childhood-shaping memories, punctuated (as I think another reviewer said) by 70-plus Umm punctuation and stylistic turning points between high-speed stories. Not sure where it all led but the images are still clear.
Company: Wit and Wisdom of Will Rogers
Show: Wit and Wisdom of Will Rogers
Venue: Minnsky Theatre
Will Rogers, we miss you
After a self-effacing introduction, this show is all Will Rogers’words, spoken with loving commitment. I really liked it all. OK, not so much pacing or looking at the floor, but he was channeling the humorist who may still be “most quoted” after the Bible and Shakespeare. I want to see Part 2.
Company: BONS TEMPOS THEATRE COMPANY
Show: Atlanta Burning Sherman's Shadows
Venue: Theatre in the Round
Meet General Sherman Enroute to Atlanta
You may not see a better Fringe performance than Jay Nickerson’s portrayal of Civil War General Sherman. He took us there with his strategizing and validating of a dreadful but arguably necessary war campaign.
Company: The Minnesota SkyVault Theatre Company
Show: Night Sets Her Foot In Morocco
Venue: Rarig Center Arena
Much ado about Madcappery
I dare you to keep up with the zany wordplay, stream-of-group-consciencesness and where-are- they-now troupe from Rochester. More ideas (and tangents) per second than anything else in the Fringe - but listen closely and try to remember having that much life!
Company: patrick ryan
Show: The Humor of Pat Ryan and Parkinsons
Venue: Rarig Center Arena
Parkinson’s Primer
A modest personal experience play, not a message play, with informal, gentle humor based on connections he makes with a prop box and a singer’s lyrics. Theatre teaching experience and references apparent & appreciated.
Company: Mysterious Old Radio Listening Society
Show: The Mysterious Old Radio Listening Society Versus the Nazis
Venue: Rarig Center Thrust
Radio Still Works
You can close your eyes for these two radio crime dramas, but watching the sound effects is more fun. No new insights to life, but a good escapist hour.
