A Feminist/humanist look at women in the bible
Not sure what to expect, this turned out to be an in-depth and provocative look at some of the bible stories from a women's point of view mirroring many of the feelings modern women feel about their position in society and what it really should be and how it really should have been portrayed in the biblical telling (if women had told it). There is humor, action and pathos. Since the piece is a collaborative created and done by the 8 excellent actresses (actors?), I could tell each had a stake in their roles. Incorporates narrative, music and movement that flows beautifully through the piece. The church and religious right would not approve!
