I am HERE for young performers

I've said it before and I'll say it again--let young queers take over the MN fringe festival! The writing in this show is fresh, witty, and harnesses a perfect balance of seriously exploring the nuances of sexuality while also remaining entirely self aware, silly, and unafraid to bash an audience member or two. As a young queer I was LIVING for all the references and jokes, but you do not have to be queer to enjoy this show! Highly recommend if you're looking for a good laugh and a captivating 50 minutes.

Amazing performers!

This show was certainly captivating--I appreciated the energy and commitment to the material that the performers offered at every step of the way. I loved the unscripted moments, and I admire the intense physicality that the performers harnessed throughout the entire piece. However, I felt like there was still more work to be done--some of the vignettes felt purposeless while others I felt as if I was hit on the head with a concept the whole time (especially in the Weinstein piece). Overall, I commend the performers on the work that they put into this production but I think that some of the content could be revisited.

Woke but not really

Like many other reviewers, I enjoyed the witty quips and great physical comedy--I appreciated that the script did not take itself too seriously and that the performers seemed to be very in tune with the crowd and the overall vibe of the fringe festival. However, I had a lot of trouble enjoying the show as soon as a male character suggested a girl drink more alcohol in the hopes of getting to sleep with her--this and other moments of race and gender-based stereotypes left me feeling uneasy, especially since the show started off strong with plenty of witty remarks regarding today's social climate.
