Well produced and performed!
The work was polished, engaging, and generous, with an exceptionally talented cast of performers. Its subject matter is difficult to tackle in one hour's time, but A Part of Me manages to do so with sincerity and empathy. Definitely go see this!

You receive what you give.
As contemporary devised theater, The Middle Keeps Moving feels like a working document; through their actions and choices onstage the actors encounter, process, and sometimes discover facets of what it is to live imperfect human-shaded lives in a messy, often inimical world. I truly believe that the success of the audience experience is proportionate to how empathically the viewer approaches the work. Engaging with an open mind and heart—a willingness to abandon personal preconceptions while connecting on an individual, emotional level—is rewarded. If you enter into this performance with the intention of working alongside the actors, you will find that you receive much more in return. So I say go see this, and be generous with yourself.
Company: Witchy Beach
Show: Writing Wrongs in a Sandcastle
Venue: Minnsky Theatre
Unexpected, but absolutely fun.
I saw this show by mistake, as I accidentally went to the wrong venue thinking I was attending a friend's show. That serendipitous scenario turned out to be the perfect set-up for this somewhat surreal, completely silly, and wonderfully satisfying work. I laughed a lot. I enjoyed the banter of the two performers, who played together in the roles of writer and editor with hilarity and self-awareness. If you want to spend an hour basking in human absurdity, go see Writing Wrongs In a Sandcastle.
