Company: Hercules Theatre Company
Show: Artificial
Venue: Mixed Blood Theatre

Not artificial, just intelligent

Great script, wonderful acting by Athena and leaves you thinking afterwards.

Company: CSOC Company, LLC
Show: Blood Guilt
Venue: Ritz Theater Studio

Packs a punch

Unfolds slowly and gradually uncovers tragedy that is eerily prescient of what's happening right now. Wonderful script, pacing and acting.

Company: Haute Dish Productions
Show: Chisago: The Musical
Venue: Rarig Center Thrust

Razzle Dazzle 'em!

Any show with a singing, dancing Paul Bunyan is OK with me.

Company: Monster Science Productions
Show: How To Come Back From The Dead
Venue: Mixed Blood Theatre

Coming soon to a tomb on Nicollet Avenue

More fun than a barrel of zombies. Able to leap vampires at a single bound.

Company: Jezebel Theater Company
Show: Reclaiming My Time
Venue: Crane Theater

I hear you

Brave people telling brave stories

Company: Octoberdandy Productions
Show: The Overview Effect
Venue: Strike Theater

Messy

Didn't really come together

Company: the semi-permanent tattoos
Show: Apartment, Darling
Venue: Ritz Theater Studio

Sweet

Sweet and gentle but drags in spots. Well acted.

Company: Clevername Theatre
Show: ATLAS ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ : An Objective Musical
Venue: Ritz Theater Mainstage

Popcorn

A couple of super singers are the highlight of this faithful parody.

Company: W.A.R. Theater
Show: Beat.
Venue: Crane Theater

Hidden Story

Great combination of music, dance and spoken word covering a little known story from the Beat Generation.

Company: Bellydonna Dance Company
Show: The Wizard of Oz Bellydance Show
Venue: Ritz Theater Mainstage

Spectacular

My favorite fringe show this year. Costumes are spectacular, the dancing is wonderful, and you get a chance to see a familiar story presented in a way that feels like watching it for the very first time.

Company: Weggel Productions
Show: Cat Confidential: The Secret Lives of the Mothers of Lions
Venue: Theatre in the Round

Here Kitty Kitty....

Wish the cast hadn't depended on scripts, but hey, it's Fringe..... Really liked the musical segues.

Show: Zelda: The Hero of Fringe
Venue: Theatre in the Round

Fun romp

… even for someone who knows squat about the game.

Company: Amie Durenberger
Show: Can I Borrow Your Poop?
Venue: Strike Theater

Making lemonade

Amie takes a crappy (!) situation and makes comedic gold. I hope she gets her literal shit together much as she's done with her figurative shit.

Company: Komedio Comedy
Show: Nerd Rage! The Great Debates
Venue: Crane Theater

Goofy fun

I'll be checking out their podcast....

Company: EnCompass Theatre
Show: R Culture
Venue: Strike Theater

Big topic under the big top

I wish we didn't need shows like this... but we do. The circus is the perfect backdrop for the topic and presenting the women as clowns perfectly capture the battle between the face we present to the world versus what's roiling beneath the surface.

Company: The Provettes
Show: The Provettes
Venue: Crane Theater

Crazy fun energy

I gotta say, I've never seen improv dance, but I'm hooked! Will be watching for these gals around town in the future.

Company: Paradox Productions
Show: Chocolate Covered Chicken Wings
Venue: Augsburg Studio

Surprising

Life is innocent and silly. Until it's not.

Company: Michael Rogers
Show: Chorus
Venue: Rarig Center Thrust

Surprising

Packs an emotional punch I had not expected. Demonstrates that music sustains and connects us when we most and when we least expect it.

Company: Devious Mechanics
Show: Edith Gets High
Venue: Rarig Center Arena

Yup

What everyone else said. You better go.

Company: TheatreX
Show: Escape THIS

Interesting concept

… but needs a bit more tightening.

Company: Mysterious Old Radio Listening Society
Show: Frankenstein: Two Centuries
Venue: Rarig Center Thrust

Close your eyes...

Interesting look at the behind-the-scenes world of a radio drama. Found my mind wandering in spots.

Venue: Rarig Center Arena

Quirky

Beautiful, bawdy and bizarre

I Robot

Dancing! And robots! (Mostly dancing....) Quirky story layered on top of some great ballet.

Company: MDK Productions
Show: Tess Jones, Space Archaeologist
Venue: Rarig Center Arena

Fun frolic

Goofy radio style serial drama crossed with a Fringe female version of Indiana Jones in space.

Company: That's Enough Drama
Show: A Tension To Detail: Gerard Harris
Venue: Ritz Theater Mainstage

Just try to keep up!

If you see a shooting star, it's best to try to lasso it and go along for the ride. A crazy trip through the psyche of a manic storyteller.

Company: Partizan Theater
Show: Backstory
Venue: Rarig Center Thrust

Great acting

WONDERFULLY acted, captivating, beautifully written and paced. Left me wanting more.

Company: Sam Kruger
Show: Fool Muun Komming! [BeBgWunderful/YEsyes/4sure.Hi5. TruLuv;Spank Spank:SOfun_Grate_Times]

Wheeeee!

We took a space ride on a hallucination and loved every minute of it.

Company: The Theatre Cosmic
Show: Stuck in an Elevator with Patrick Stewart II: The Wrath of Fandom
Venue: Rarig Center Arena

Uneven

Juxtaposition of the two sets of characters didn't work for me. Some strong acting by Bedard (fan dude) and Calger (Patrick Stewart)
