January Drafts & Draughts
Monday, January 21 at 7:30pm
Drafts & Draughts is Fringe's multidisciplinary scratch night, featuring 3-5 staged snippets of new work back-to-back. Drafts &
Draughts runs the gamut, featuring theatre, dance, improv, storytelling, spoken word, magic, interdisciplinary work, and more. Presenting works-in-progress
in a casual atmosphere provides artists with a supportive audience. Each artist works with Fringe's Artistic Director to design and receive feedback
on specific questions needed to push the development of their work forward.
- Four Humors "Last Days of Commodus", a fresh study on the nature of power, corruption, and greed
within our current American political context.
- "Not Fair, My Lady!" sharing part of the expanded 2018 Festival hit, an all-woman company-created musical theatre parody review. NFML! is part of the
upcoming Fringe Presents: Women's March weekend.
- Gaia Mencagli: exploring the menstrual cycle through the character of a French tipsy woman from another time. Humorous and interactive.
- Maureen Bourgeois' new play "Daybreak Diner": the history of a building, and the people within it. Set in a diner in 1983 and 2025.
