Company: The Winding Sheet Outfit
Show: Blood Nocturne
Venue: Southern Theater

Yes.

I love everything about this show. Within 10 seconds of the show starting, I knew I loved it. This company creates stage pictures that perfectly enhance the story, and use four sticks and a piece of fabric to create any prop that could be required. I was surprised at how much I laughed loudly during this dark story. Beautiful singing, instrumentation, images. Words can't say how fantastic it was. The Winding Sheet Outfit is phenomenal.

Company: Fearless Comedy Productions
Show: Deep in The 100 Acre Woods: A "Pooh"-dunnit?
Venue: Minnsky Theatre

Silly and fun

I liked the idea of this show quite a bit, and I thought the casting and the small touches in the costuming were terrific. There were times when I wanted the show to move a little bit faster, which is difficult with a murder mystery. Overall I thought it was really well executed and a fun way to look at the crew from the 100 acre wood.

Company: Mosaic Productions
Show: Hidden in This Picture
Venue: Rarig Center Arena

One of my favorite scripts

I directed this script in college and have seen it a few times since, and it always holds a special place in my heart. I appreciated how this staging put females into two of the four roles, which are all originally written for men. Nice use of the space and contrast between the characters was strong. I just love this show very much and it was nice to see it well done! Thank you!

Company: Sheep Theater
Show: Kaboom
Venue: Rarig Center Thrust

Wonderful Ensemble Piece

I love how much this cast works together to create a fun show for themselves and the audience. They play off of each other so well, and the excellent writing adds to the group dynamic. I was also happy to see the Sheep member whom I developed a crush on during Fringe 2017 was onstage again in 2018. Great show!

Company: Mainly Me Productions
Show: A Justice League of Their Own
Venue: Theatre in the Round

Fantastic

I'm not a huge superhero movie fan, but I'm a giant A League of Their Own fan, and I was thrilled with the parallels between this show and the film. I love the concept, I love the execution, I'm amazed at how they rocked the socks off of using the entire space and showed masterful speed with costume changes and fitting the story into an hour. Bravo bravo bravo.

Company: Dilettante
Show: Brogonauts
Venue: Rarig Center Thrust

Very fun

This was a fun and funny concept of a show, and something that is a reminder of how wonderful the Fringe Festival was. The three main singers had lovely voices, but unfortunately we couldn't always hear them. I greatly enjoyed the choreography and group numbers of the brogonauts. Everyone onstage looked like they were having a great time, which helped me have a great time as well!

Company: Weggel-Reed Productions
Show: Couple Fight: The Musical!
Venue: Rarig Center Thrust

Just wonderful

I think this show works exquisitely as a musical. I loved how each couple had their own unique musical style to go with their characters and their fight. The St. John's University roommates was just fantastic, and I support any reference to David Bowie's Labyrinth bulge.

Company: Colleen Somerville Productions
Show: Not Fair, My Lady!
Venue: Mixed Blood Theatre

ONE OF THE BEST THINGS EVER.

This show made me laugh, cry, regret how hard I try to be pathetic at auditions for ingenue roles when I'm actually a strong woman, and more. These women sang BEAUTIFULLY and told real, relatable stories about the theatre world in 2018. I'm adding this show to my list of dream roles. Thank you ladies!!
