Fun for All
If you're looking for guaranteed laughs and a good time, this is the show for you. If you're not a die-hard Shatner fan (like me), some of the jokes might go over your head, but all of the actors do such a wonderful job in their portrayals that it's still wildly entertaining. Mitch Ross is especially captivating as a young (and much more handsome) James T. Kirk and gave impressive commitment to the physical and vocal comedy of his character. This show is a humbling reminder to actors who seek success that humility follows closely behind. Resistance is futile.

Hit the Lights! is easily one of the most talented companies to grace Fringe with its presence. WHALES is a punk rock-infused, immersive shadow puppetry hybrid with an environmentally political edge that makes learning about how awful humans are a great time! Every aspect of the production is as creative as it is impressive, from the strong vocals of the company members and the entrancing soundtrack to the fine details of their shadow puppets. This piece is astonishing and you'd be a barnacle to miss it.

Compelling
Erin Roberts has achieved a near impossible feat that many actors rarely attempt for fear of failure: a solo performance. In dealing with recent script changes, along with the fact that she's onstage by herself, Roberts masterfully captivates the audience with her loving charm, strong physicality, distinct characters and welcoming presence. The script in hand becomes merely a reference for areas with new text as she illuminates the director/playwright's own history. Don't be afraid to laugh and cry out loud with Roberts as she takes you through the compelling journey of My 4 Bodies.
