Completely dynamic and enthralling, Gerard Harris' one man show is a must see at the Minnesota Fringe. A storytelling piece of theatre that seems to originally be just about his induction into comedy writing and stand up, but then branches out to so much more. Which, as much as I would love to go into further, would be doing any future patron the absolute tragic disservice of spoiling the experience of seeing such a storyteller of high class weave and perform his craft to you. Harris has created a comedic, storytelling, art piece that while simultaneously being engaging, challenging, is accessible and very very funny. A must must see.

A Must See
Absolutely loved the show, absolutely loved Jamie. I’d love to go on and on, but after reading Ron Hubbard’s review in the Pioneer Press, I feel like he sums it up fantastically. “The strong suit of this year’s Fringe might be storytellers. The schedule is full of award-winning wordsmiths, and one of the most decorated is Jamie Brickhouse, who’s adapted his critically acclaimed memoir into a one-man show. He takes you on an odyssey of self-discovery – particularly about his sexuality and his relationship with alcohol – and proves an uproariously funny raconteur who masterfully wields colorful descriptors and sculpts what feels like one absorbing long-form story. His mother looms like a specter throughout it all, as he uses masterful timing to make tales of his rise and fall deeply involving and insightful.” https://www.twincities.com/2018/08/03/fringe-review-dangerous-when-wet-booze-sex-my-mother/
