Company: Jamie Brickhouse
Show: Dangerous When Wet: Booze, Sex, and My Mother
Venue: Augsburg Studio
One-man Show!
I can't believe someone can pull it off! Jamie is an excellent storyteller and has you hooked from beginning to end. I feel that I know him as a human being. Also a heartwarming story to his mom. Excellent all around.
Company: Wayward Theatre Company
Show: Far Away by Caryl Churchill
Venue: Rarig Center Arena
Superb Production!
Absolutely beautiful design, choreography, and music. However, I had no idea what the plot was about, which made it difficult to appreciate.
Company: Weggel-Reed Productions
Show: Couple Fight: The Musical!
Venue: Rarig Center Thrust
Creative and Energetic
There was a lot of energy. Each couple had their own unique flair and the dancing were great. However, for some of them the music was a distraction and the references were foreign to me. Overall it was really good. I would recommend to others!
Company: GIRL Theatre
Show: Gay Hot American Summer
Venue: Rarig Center Arena
Bubbly performance but lack cohesion
The acting was solid, and the over-dramatization was rather fun. There was too many poppish references for my taste. I think the story wasn't too cohesive and scene transitions confused me quite a bit.
Company: Sheep Theater
Show: Kaboom
Venue: Rarig Center Thrust
Fuckin Hilarious! Presidential Speeches Included
This has been the most enjoyable and hilarious show so far. It can easily be a documentary of our current administration. As a spiritual anarchist (no kidding), I approve. Mr. Intern is definitely my favorite.
Company: Theatre Corrobora
Show: Rejection
Venue: Augsburg Mainstage
All too human
As a social scientist, I approve, but not the scientist. There is a lot of things to ponder about relationships, love, and life. I even posted some lines for my status message. The acting and screenwriting is great. If anyone is wondering, there are different types of love and those changes within a relationship.
